Welcome to Mosaic Kids
SCHOOL READINESS FOR DIVERSE LEARNERS

It's never too early to start building positive associations for school readiness.
The first five years of a child's life are the most important as that is when their brain develops more rapidly than at any other point in their life.
Here at Mosaic kids we provide small group classes to build on your child's skills to help them be successful and motivated learners.
Each lesson will be customised and tailored for the group. The lessons will offer exposure to classroom routines. They will include movement, singing, activities and chance for the parents to form support groups with each other.

Mosaic Kids is a program that will benefit children who are neurodiverse or with cognitive delays.

Each aspect of the program has been thought out to help both child and parent. The one and a half hour lessons will require one parent to join in the lesson so that they can also learn strategies to use at home.

SCHOOL READINESS FOR DIVERSE LEARNERS
Verbal and alternative forms of communication will be used throughout the session. The routine and knowing that each lesson will follow the same format will help your child to feel comfortable and confident in their environment. The repetition of songs and their actions will help children with language and prediction skills. The physical aspect of the program is to assist your child in developing self regulation skills. These can be simple movements which will also strengthen the core and muscles that are needed for fine and gross motor skills.
The activities will be chosen to work in line with parent goals. These will also assist the child in developing language skills, social interaction skills, and self-regulation skills. The parents will develop language to negotiate positively with their child during challenging moments, and skills for co-regulating.
There will also be a short snack time to help in developing self-help skills that are necessary for children to thrive in a school setting. This also gives the parents an opportunity to have a chat with one another and to the teacher about any concerns or any achievements.
